Pink Full Moon in Aries April 1, 2026

It’s the first Full Moon of Spring! Spring officially began on March 20th so that makes this full moon the Paschal Full Moon, traditionally called a Pink Moon. The Paschal Full Moon is the first full moon after the Spring Equinox. It also determines what day Easter falls on each year. This is why Easter is a flexible date as it is always celebrated the Sunday after the Paschal Full Moon.  

April’s Moon may not turn pink, the name welcomes the early sights and sounds of the Spring season. The Pink Full Moon gets its name from a spring wildflower — moss phlox, also called “moss pink” — which blooms around the same time as April’s Full Moon.

Polarity of the Pink Full Moon

Full Moons illuminate things that may or may not be working for us. I think of this time as a release or the letting go phase during our lunar journey. As a Full Moon is capable of raising the tides it can also raise our emotions and intuitive abilities. This makes it the perfect time to celebrate with a Full Moon Ritual. As the surface of the moon wanes, so can our energy around anything you wish to release. Create some time to get grounded and reflect on anything that no longer serves you. This can be people, places, things, limiting beliefs, habits, etc.
