Our first full moon of May, the Flower Moon, rose on May 1st. This second full moon in the same month makes it a rare Blue Moon. Because it occurs near the Moon’s farthest point from Earth, it’s also considered a Micromoon, appearing a bit smaller and dimmer than usual. 

The Full Moon marks the midpoint of the lunar cycle, growing in brightness from the darkness of the New Moon. Its energy illuminates what is supporting us—and what isn’t. This phase invites release. Just as the Moon pulls the tides, it can stir our emotions, which is why a Full Moon ritual can be so grounding. Something as simple as writing down what you’re ready to let go of or forgive can shift your energy. Many believe that forgiveness helps dissolve old karma. When you finish writing, burn or bury the paper to symbolize release, then turn your focus toward positive feelings. Let gratitude soften any lingering resentment. As your vibration rises, manifesting becomes easier. 

This Full Moon rises in Sagittarius while the Sun sits in Gemini. Sagittarius encourages us to widen our perspective, especially in our search for meaning. It opens the door to new possibilities, discoveries, and a renewed passion for travel and adventure. Ruled by Jupiter, Sagittarius brings luck, wisdom, and expansion, offering us a chance to stretch both our minds and our hearts. With the Sun in Gemini, however, we may feel restless, scattered, or even a bit fickle. Gemini highlights communication, our relationships with siblings or neighbors, and the ways we express our emotions openly. Take time to reflect on your current mindset and how you share your truth. This opposition invites you to find balance in whatever surfaces during this Full Moon.
